Comedian Phyllis Diller believed that “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.¨ Even during difficult times, smiling and laughter, can truly help a person deal with stress and can shift our perspective to allow us to come out on the other side of our challenges more relaxed and healthier. |
On this episode Lisa and Michael invite you to join them for a conversation that explores how smiling can absolutely changes the way we think and feel. A smile is free and is one of easiest ways to boost our health, our mood, our longevity, our success and can even impact the lives of those around us. Our smile is something that should be shared often with not only with the people we meet during the day but also with ourselves. Scientists, motivational and spiritual teachers all agree that the simple act of smiling not only brightens our day but can transform us individually but also the world around us. Every time we smile at someone, there is an unconscious automatic response in their brain that coaxes them to return the smile. We will delve into how when we smile, not only do people treat us differently but how the simple act of smiling lifts our mood, helps us feel more positivity, and activates neural messaging that benefits our health and happiness. When a smile comes across our face our body releases the feel-good neurotransmitters—dopamine, endorphins and serotonin— these signal to our body that we’re happy, and in turn, we feel happier. A smile can be a gateway to elevating our life by helping us to shift to a more positive mindset so we can focus on all that is good in our lives. The more we smile the more joyous our life becomes, our world is a more magical and loving to be in. |
